Artisanal White Sage & Breu resin blend
Salvia apiana (white sage, bee sage, or sacred sage) is an evergreen perennial shrub that is native to the southwestern United States and northwestern Mexico, found mainly in the coastal sage scrub habitat on the western edges of the Mojave and Sonoran deserts. S. apiana is widely used by Native American groups on the Pacific coast of the United States. The leaves are also burnt by many native American tribes, with the smoke used in different purification rituals.
Extracted from the Almacega tree of the Amazon rainforest, sacred Breu resin (“Breuzinho” or “White Breu”) is used in healing rituals, to ward off evil spirits, and to create good energy. Breu’s aromatic resin is rich in alpha and beta-amyrina triterpenes, which possess anti-inflammatory, analgesic and gastro-protective properties. The resin is indicated for respiratory trouble, stomach ache, liver malfunction, and mental acuity.
